Using QR Codes to make payments

If you've dined out recently, you may have been asked to scan a QR code to access the menu. Or you may even have checked in by submitting your e-ticket QR code for scanning, or paid for goods by scanning the QR codes on your purchase receipts. Well, this article may even have a QR code for a quick read.

What can I do with my QR Code?

You can use Fingo QR codes to request payment from a friend to split a dinner bill or receive payment from a customer for a product or service.

How do I view my code?

To view your QR code, go to the Profile tab and tap the QR code button next to your profile name.

How to Request Payment using Fingo QR Codes

To request payment, go to your profile tab, tap the QR code button, add the amount, and share the newly generated link. 

How to Pay using Fingo QR Codes For Fingo Users

To pay someone, either scan the QR code presented on the user requesting payment or simply tell them to share the link of the generated QR code which lets you complete the transaction via Fingo or M-Pesa.

Scanning the code will take you to the Fingo app Money Chat section. 

How to Pay using Fingo QR Codes For Non-Fingo Users

Scanning the code will take you to a web browser with two links: "Pay with Fingo" or "Pay with M-Pesa." 

Tapping on "Pay with Fingo" will take you to the relevant stores to download Fingo. 

Tapping on the 'Pay with M-Pesa' button will prompt you to enter your M-Pesa PIN to complete the transaction.

In summary, QR codes make payments and requests fast, convenient, and secure. With Fingo QR codes, you can identify the owner of the Fingo Wallet and complete transactions by scanning the codes.
